Lisa is a Partner and Head of the Employee Incentives Team at Birketts LLP. She specialises in setting up management schemes which, utilising equity or cash, seek to deliver long term value for shareholders and incentive for participants. Lisa is particularly focused on EMI (Enterprise Management Incentive) plans, growth shares, long term incentive plans (LTIP) and management incentive plans (MIP). Lisa also advises on restricted stock units, deferred share plans, company share option plans (CSOPs) and Share Incentive Plans (SIPs).
For our international clients, Lisa and her team will provide:
- advice in relation to harmonisation, working to ensure that the relevant plan is compliant from a UK perspective whilst maintaining a consistent approach to the main rules of the international scheme (where required);
- project management support, for example where a plan is to be rolled out across multiple jurisdictions with many participants; and
- support to produce global employee communications.
Lisa also assists companies in the sale of their business to a newly established employee ownership trusts (a UK tax efficient model of ownership) which can present complex funding and eligibility issues if the relevant group sits across multiple jurisdictions.
